Know where
the idea came from.

A working shelf of primary texts, calculation methods, and paths for further study. Traditions have histories; interpretations have authors.

Four kinds of statement

Calculated: the position of a planet or the time of a lunar phase. Traditional: a correspondence within a named system. Interpretive: a modern reading proposed here. Fictional: the familiar and its imaginative design.

The September reflections are original AI-assisted writing grounded in the calculated events. They use a small editorial vocabulary informed by Western astrology. Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto belong to a modern layer; they are not passed off as part of the ancient seven-planet system. No personality or future outcome is established by these calculations.

01

Ceremonial practice

Agrippa · Planetary hours

Three Books of Occult Philosophy II.34 describes the sunrise-based division of day and night into twelve hours and planetary succession. It also records disagreements between historical methods; we use the common sunrise/sunset division.

02

Astronomy

Astronomy Engine

The open-source calculation library behind the sky and natal chart. It calculates positions and events; it does not supply astrological meanings.

03

Astronomy

NASA · Embracing the Equinox

The September 2026 crossing, both hemispheres, and why equinox does not mean precisely equal daylight everywhere.

04

Western astrology

Ptolemy · Tetrabiblos, Book I

An ancient source for sign qualities, aspects, sect, and rulership. A historical cosmology, not an empirically validated personality model.

05

Western astrology

William Lilly · The twelve houses

A transcription from Christian Astrology (1647), chapter VII. Historical house topics require context; we do not adopt its medical or personal-outcome predictions.

06

Western astrology

Crowley · General Principles of Judging a Figure

A primary-text compilation relevant to reading a configuration in the context of a chart. PDF transcription; consult the edition, not just an isolated quotation.

07

Ceremonial practice

Crowley · Liber O vel Manus et Sagittae

Sections I–II discuss the approach to symbols; section IV gives the Qabalistic Cross and pentagram ritual. Our beginner course labels adaptations and omits strenuous techniques.

08

Ceremonial practice

Crowley · Liber E vel Exercitiorum

Section I is the source for keeping a detailed magical record. Linking a historical document is not an endorsement of every exercise it contains.

09

Ceremonial practice

Crowley · Liber Resh vel Helios

Four Thelemic solar adorations. The practice room distinguishes the complete historical form from a short observational introduction.

10

Tarot

College of Thelema · Liber Theta

A Thelemic reference for tarot study and the major-card correspondences used here. Our reflective prompts are original, not quotations from this work.

11

Tarot

Waite & Smith · The Pictorial Key to the Tarot

Waite’s text with Pamela Colman Smith’s illustrations. A distinct lineage from the Thoth deck; numbering and interpretive emphasis are not silently merged.

O.T.O. U.S. Grand Lodge · Thelemic customs

An organization’s own account of its customs, including the magical diary and Resh. This site is independent of O.T.O.

Quareia · Apprentice course

A separate modern magical training system with freely accessible lessons. Included as a path to investigate, not represented as Thelemic or as our own curriculum.

Historical sources can contain unsupported claims, prejudices, and unsafe exercises. Attribution makes a statement inspectable; it does not make it true or suitable for practice. Our course is an introduction, not a comprehensive or authoritative edition.
